Privacy Policy.

How KELP handles the limited personal data it processes, and the rights you have over it.

KELP runs a simple brochure website. It has no forms, no analytics, and sets no tracking cookies of its own. The only personal data we hold is what you send us if you choose to get in touch by email.

Who we are

KELP Ltd is the data controller for any personal data described in this policy. KELP is a company registered in England and Wales and operating from London. If you have any question about this policy, or about how we handle your data, contact us at hello@kelpuk.com.

What this website collects

The website itself collects no personal data about you. We do not run analytics, we do not build visitor profiles, and we set no tracking or marketing cookies of our own. You can read every page without identifying yourself in any way.

When you email us

We process personal data only when you choose to email us, for example through the contact address on the site. In that case we receive your name, your email address, and whatever you put in your message.

We use that information solely to reply to you and to discuss potential work. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running the consultancy. We keep correspondence only for as long as it is needed for those purposes, after which it is deleted. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

Third parties

A small amount of technical data is handled by the services that make the site work, rather than by us.

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, served from Google's content delivery network. To deliver those fonts your browser connects to Google's servers, which means your IP address is transmitted to Google as part of that request. We do not control what Google does with that information. You can read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

The site is hosted on standard web hosting provided by Hostinger. Like most web servers, the host keeps server logs that may record technical details such as IP addresses, browser type, and the pages requested. These logs are kept by the host for security and operational purposes.

We do not sell or share your data

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. The only parties that handle any data connected to your visit are the technical providers described above, and only to the extent needed to serve the site.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over the personal data we hold about you. These include the right to be told what we hold and to ask for a copy of it, the right to have inaccurate data corrected, the right to ask us to delete it, and the right to object to or restrict how we use it.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@kelpuk.com and we will respond within the time the law allows. There is no charge for making a request in normal circumstances.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection. You can reach the ICO at ico.org.uk. We would, however, appreciate the chance to resolve the matter directly first.

International transfers

Because the site uses Google Fonts, the technical data described above may be processed on servers outside the UK. Where that happens, it is covered by the safeguards the relevant provider has in place for international transfers. We do not ourselves transfer the personal data you send us by email outside the UK.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if the way the site works changes. The current version always lives on this page, and the date below shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be reflected here rather than notified individually, so it is worth checking back if the point matters to you.
